I am not even sure what to say about Joseph Petcka and what he did to Norman. I can’t imagine why anyone would do such a thing to an animal. This is just the sort of thing that haunts me. This story will literally stick with me until the day I die. (I still can’t shake the story about the group of boys who broke into a shelter for cats and beat them all to death. And then there was the story about the two drunk bastards who put a kitten on their grill. Seriously, I would feel A-OK if these men were no longer around.)

2 years in jail is not enough.

I can’t even begin to imagine what would drive a person to harm an animal, a child, an elderly person – any creature unable to defend themselves. And I say this as a person who was once unfortunately attacked by a cat – my own cat – and still has the scars to prove it. You just don’t do this sort of thing.

I.. I can’t even read about this stuff. It haunts me. I saw a pigeon get run over by a car once, and I still cannot get the horrifying look on its little face out of my mind.

There are venues though which to go to petition local government to draft legislation the imparts more severe punishment on animal abusers. I will look in to this some more and post more.

These stories are the worst. I think we’d all like to take a shot at the animal abusers, along with the sickos who attack children and the elderly.
