Nicknames?

Does your cat have nicknames? We have so many for each of ours and sometimes their nicknames become their real names. Take Pookum. Her name was Mischa. But somehow Pookum (a nickname) took over. Now, Mischa just seems weird.

And now Murray has become Myrtle. I have no idea how or why. He’s just Myrtle Man. And Tucker is known as Orange Kitty a lot of the time.

Anyone else have nicknames for their fatties?

HAHAHA, Myrtle Man! My grandmother’s name was Myrtle. Don’t meet many Myrtles these days.

Kali is “Kali-poo” most of the time. Boris is “Mr. B.” or “Mr. Boo” or just “Boo.” Pearl is sometimes “Pretty Girl,” and Seven is just … Seven (unless I count “evil bitch” but that’s more of a statement than a nickname!)

Oh my – yes, definitely.

Dub’s full name is actually Dubya but I never call him that. Dr. Sullivan often refers to him as Mr. President which I think is adorable. Mike started calling him Walter J. Booroni which is often shortened to Booroni or just Boo. And he’s The Dubbas and The Bubbas, too.

Kali is Kallalilly or Kallaloo, which morphs into Lulabella, Bella or Lula, or Princess Petunia Munchkinbottom. Also Sprinkle. When she was younger and pre-spay she was really skinny so she was also Noodle.

We’ve re-christened Stumpy as June, so while she will always be Stumpy, or Stumperella Stumperoo, she is also now Junie or Junebug or Junie Carter Dietsch. She’s also a Sweet Pea and Teenie Mama.

I love our cats. :)
