This site is dedicated to our sweet boy Schmitty, who passed away on April 21, 2007 after being diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer.

Schmitty in the Hospital

When Schmitty was sick, we scoured the Web for hours each day, searching for any information that could bolster what our vets described, searching for alternative treatment options, trying to assess his condition.

We found little in the way of information, of outlets for our grief, of support from others in a similar position.

Sick Pet Support is our attempt to create such an outlet.

Version

Sick Pet Support is at version 0.1a. That's an alpha. An initial launch. There are probably no bugs, but there are also only the most essential features.

We welcome anyone here who loves animals. Whether you use the term 'pet' or the term 'companion' doesn't matter. We aren't creating an ideological or political forum. We're merely attempting to create an environment where people can ask questions, brag, share memorial information, and offer expertise on pet health and happiness.

Privacy

We won't do anything with your info. We won't market. We won't sell or give it away. It's secure, encrypted in our database. We will contact you on occasion, when we think there are important updates. In future versions, we will have an opt-out of any notifications from Sick Pet Support.
